# Sharing

> Get a form's link and embed codes, change its link, build prefilled links, and email invitations.

These commands help you send a form to people. Each one takes the form's UUID. For fields and response details, see the API reference for [share details](https://apidocs.neetoform.com/api/share/show.md), [the public link](https://apidocs.neetoform.com/api/share/update-public-link.md), [prefilled links](https://apidocs.neetoform.com/api/share/prefilled-link.md) and [email invitations](https://apidocs.neetoform.com/api/share/email-invitations.md).

## Show share details

This command shows the form's public link, the same link on each custom domain, and the embed codes. Use this when you need a link or a snippet to paste into a website.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetoform forms share show 7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91 --json
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<form-id>` - The form's UUID, from `neetoform forms list`

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--embed` | `string` | | | Print only one embed snippet: inline, floating-popup, element-popup or iframe |

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": {
    "id": "7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91",
    "is_published": true,
    "public_link_id": "feedback",
    "public_link": "https://acme.neetoform.com/feedback",
    "custom_domain_links": ["https://forms.acme.com/feedback"],
    "embed_codes": {
      "inline": "<div ...></div>",
      "floating_popup": "<script ...></script>",
      "element_popup": "<script ...></script>",
      "iframe": "<iframe ...></iframe>"
    }
  }
}
```

Pass `--embed` with `inline`, `floating-popup`, `element-popup` or `iframe` to print only that snippet. Links and embeds work only when the form is published.

## Change the public link

This command changes the last part of the form's public link. Use this when you want a link that is easy to read, or a new random link.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetoform forms public-link update 7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91 --public-link-id customer-feedback --json
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<form-id>` - The form's UUID, from `neetoform forms list`

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--public-link-id` | `string` | | | New public link id (letters, numbers, - and \_). Omit for a random one. The old link stops working at once |

The old link stops working at once, including in emails and embeds you already sent. The new ID can have letters, numbers, `-` and `_`, and must be unique in the workspace. Leave out `--public-link-id` to get a random one. The output is the new share details.

## Build a prefilled link

This command builds a link that opens the form with some answers filled in. Nothing is saved. Use this when you want to send people a form that already has their name or email in it.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetoform forms prefilled-links create 7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91 \
  --answer 0b7e5c2a-1d3f-4a6b-8c9d-0e1f2a3b4c5d=oliver@example.com \
  --json
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<form-id>` - The form's UUID, from `neetoform forms list`

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--answer` | `stringArray` | | `[]` | Answer as \<question-id>=\<value>; repeat for more answers |
| `--answers-json` | `string` | | | JSON array of answers for compound values, e.g. '\[\{"question\_id":"\<id>","value":\{"country":"US","number":"2025550123"}}]' |
| `--discount-code` | `string` | | | Discount code to add to the link |

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": {
    "url": "https://acme.neetoform.com/feedback?email=oliver%40example.com",
    "query_params": {
      "email": "oliver@example.com"
    }
  }
}
```

Repeat `--answer` for each question. It takes `<question-id>=<value>`, where the question ID comes from `neetoform forms questions list <form-id>`. For a value that is not plain text, such as a phone number or a full name, use `--answers-json` with a JSON array:

```bash theme={"system"}
neetoform forms prefilled-links create 7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91 \
  --answers-json '[{"question_id":"3c9a1e47-5b2d-4f80-a6e1-7d4b8c0f2a19","value":{"country":"US","number":"2025550123"}}]' \
  --json
```

You can use `--answer` and `--answers-json` together.

## Send email invitations

This command emails people an invitation to fill in the form, now or later.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetoform forms email-invitations create 7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91 \
  --emails oliver@example.com,sam@example.com \
  --subject "Please share your feedback" \
  --send-at 2026-11-01T10:00:00Z \
  --json
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<form-id>` - The form's UUID, from `neetoform forms list`

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--body` | `string` | | | Email body in HTML |
| `--button-text` | `string` | | | Text of the button that opens the form |
| `--emails` | `string` | Yes | | Comma-separated email addresses to invite |
| `--from` | `string` | | | Sender email address |
| `--reply-to` | `string` | | | Reply-to email address |
| `--send-at` | `string` | | | Send at this ISO 8601 date-time, e.g. 2026-11-01T10:00:00Z. Omit to send now |
| `--subject` | `string` | | | Email subject |

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": {
    "form_id": "7db4b04a-6e17-4af6-a1d6-650c4cba3f91",
    "emails": ["oliver@example.com", "sam@example.com"],
    "send_at": "2026-11-01T10:00:00Z"
  }
}
```

This sends real emails to real people. If any address is not valid, nothing is sent. Run the command again and the emails are sent again. When the form is limited to invited people, each address is also added to its invite list. Leave out `--send-at` to send now.
