A submission is one person’s answers to a form. For fields and response details, see the API reference for listing submissions, a single submission, exports and insights. To find a form id, see Forms.

List submissions

This command lists the submissions for one form, oldest first by default (--order desc for newest first), with each answer alongside the question it responds to. Only completed submissions are listed unless you pass --status. Use this when you want to read what people submitted, or to find a submission id.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list
Sample output (--json)
--status accepts only completed, incomplete, or all. --search keeps submissions whose answers match the text. Each entry in responses follows the form’s current question order, and kind names the field type the question was built with, which is what decides the shape of value. --submitted-after is inclusive and --submitted-before is exclusive; both take YYYY-MM-DD (midnight UTC) or a full ISO 8601 date-time. A question the person skipped has no entry, so to build columns, key answers by slug and take the column list from neetoform forms show. On a terminal the table gives each question a column of its own, in that same order, alongside id and created_at. field_values and user_agent have no column, so read a submission in full with --verbose:

Show a submission

This command shows one submission, completed or not, with its answers in the form’s question order and its payment status. A question the person skipped has no entry.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list
  • <submission-id> - The submission’s UUID, from neetoform forms submissions list
Sample output (--json)

Delete a submission

This command moves one submission to the trash. You can restore it from the trash in NeetoForm. The command runs at once and does not ask you to confirm.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list
  • <submission-id> - The submission’s UUID, from neetoform forms submissions list

Delete many submissions

This command moves several submissions to the trash and prints how many were moved. Ids that do not belong to the form, or are already in the trash, are skipped.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list

Email the respondents

This command sends an email to the people who made the chosen submissions. Each message goes to the address in the email question you name, and the emails go to real people. They are sent in the background, so the command only confirms that they are queued.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list
You can email at most 100 submissions in one call. --body is HTML.

Export submissions

This command exports submissions as a CSV, XLSX, or PDF file. The file is not printed. It is made in the background, and a download link is emailed to the recipient. The link works for 15 days, and if no submissions match, no email is sent.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list
--type accepts only csv, xlsx, or pdf. Without --ids, all completed submissions are exported.

Show form insights

This command shows visits, starts, submissions, completion rate, average time to submit, and the split by device, operating system, and browser. It covers all time unless you give a date range.
Required arguments:
  • <form-id> - The form’s UUID, from neetoform forms list
Pass --start-date and --end-date together, as YYYY-MM-DD.
